Echo Park Just Be You

At the Scraproom they sell really fun kits each month.  I love getting their kits as there is a perfect sampling of four different newer scrapbook lines with a few embellishments for each.  I thought I'd share a few layouts I created using the Echo Park Just Be You line from the Scraproom February Kit.  As you know I'm a huge Echo Park fan and this line was no exception.  Here's the February Kit:

This first was a double layout of my daughter and her friend visiting in Utah and they go to go see a new temple there.  Since I had so many photos I knew I needed a double layout.  I loved all the fun stickers that came with this line.  I just wish I had more of this paper so I could create more.

For those that may not know, I have an Etsy store called SallyC Studio.  I sell mostly 2 page scrapbook layouts.  Lately, however I have wanted to add a few single layouts.  Personally I enjoy creating both equally but I've found that the older my kids get the less photos I take and when I do it's usually with my phone so you'll see that I do scrap more single layouts.  I had a few scraps left after my double layout so I thought I'd enjoy creating a single layout for my store with the scraps.  I also incorporated a challenge at Scrap Our Stash  using this bingo card:

I used the color yellow, journal card (which is my title) and 3 patterned papers.

I also used a fun challenge at the Paper Issues Facebook group to use 5 items from a list.  I used cardstock, sticker, patterned paper, twine and paper punch(my butterflies)

I hope you'll check out The Scraproom and see all the great kits they sell.  I love the variety each month and I find I use more of it up so I don't "add" to my stash.  Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Baby Girl

I love babies!  And this is an older photo of me and my sweet little niece, Ellie.  For this layout I chose to incorporate 3 different challenges.

The first two are from Scrappy Friends.  Each month Rochelle and Brenda host a challenge.  If you do both your name goes into a drawing for the monthly prize.  I always LOVE the challenge of incorporating both challenges.  Here are the two challenges:

Then on top of that I chose to use a color challenge from The Scraproom's Facebook group.
No automatic alt text available.  Isn't it pretty?!  So I dug through my stash and found this old My Mind's eye line.  It was perfect for my photos.  I pulled out some old stash items including my old, old rubons.  I was kind of surprised they still worked, to be honest.  Anyway...here is my layout:

Also, I thought I'd share this one I created of my daughter and her first car that she purchased on her own.  Again some very old stash but isn't it perfect for her photo?

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!

Light It Up

Over at Stuck?! Sketches there are always 2 monthly sketch challenges.  As you probably know I do love Laura Whitaker's sketches!  So I chose to play along this month.  Look at her cute sketch!

In addition to this fun sketch, I also chose to incorporate another challenge at Paper Issues Facebook group to Put your title on a curve.  Here is my take on it using some fun college days photos of my daughter.

Here's another one I had fun with of my daughter and one of her friends and old room mates from her wedding.  I love, love these papers from Simple Stories.  Dang I love their lines!  If I remember right this was also from one of Laura's sketches

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Temple Square and more

Several years ago we went to Salt Lake City, Utah on a family vacation and got to go see Temple Square.  I took so many photos that I knew it needed to be a 2 page layout.  So I found this older Crate Paper line that I felt pulled all the colors we were wearing in.  Here is what I created

To add a little challenge, I decided to use this challenge going on at the Scraproom's Facebook group to use at least 3 brads. I also pulled out some other older items from my stash: the florishes, my dymo labeler and even ribbon.  It was fun to work with these colors!

I also created this layout using a sketch from Laura Whitaker.  I challenge myself to use it because it's so different than I would normally scrap.  Plus I had these older photos of when my kids were younger.  It sure makes me miss them!  Anyway...I used some older Authentique papers and some burlap embellishments.

One more I create for fun was this one about my husband I voting.  It was a little bit of work to add the pearls in a big circle cut I was very happy with the results.  Again...some older stash from My Mind's Eye this time.

Thanks for stopping by!
