Wicked Cute

Hello!  I'm here to share a layout I created using 2 challenges:

The first is from the New Colorful Creations blog.  They had challenges several years ago and they have since decided to start it up again.  This month's challenge is  to use black/white and one other color.  I chose orange.

Plus at The ScrapRoom, they have 4 throwback sketches to choose from to create a layout.  I chose the top right one.

And here is my take for these challenges using some pretty old Halloween papers.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful week!

Carsen's New Ornament

Every year my mom buys each of the grandkids a new ornament for the tree. This year Carsen got a cool guitar, which he loved.  I chose to scrap this using a challenge for Scrap The Boys. Which was to Scrap Something New.  Here is my take on it:

Valentine's cookies

I had some fun challenges to create a Valentine's layout.  So I opted to use older photos of my boys holding their valentine's day cookies.  My mom has a tradition to make these every year.  Each child gets a big cookie and they go to her house to decorate it any way they want.

The first challenge was this color challenge from the ScrapRoom Facebook Group.  You have to use 3 of the 5 colors:

The 2nd challenge was for Let's Get Sketchy: this sketch and mood board:

The ScrapRoom Challenges

Her's one layout I created for the ScrapRoom challenges.  This first challenge was the Jump Start Sketch.

And here is my take on it using some new Simple Stories.  I just loved this color combo!!

Thanks for stopping by!  I'll post my other creations in a separate post.  Happy Scrapping!

Scrappy Friends February Challenge

I finally got a chance to spend the weekend creating. Yay!  It felt good to create again.  This first challenge is always one of my favorites to participate in if I have time.  It's the Scrappy Friend's February Challenge.  Rochelle's Challenge was to use this sketch:

And Brenda's challenge is this;

Plus, over at the ScrapRoom Facebook group, ,there is a challenge to use flowers.  So I opted to add a few to my layout.

Here is my take on these challenges using a photo of Micah and I a few years ago taken while we were on vacation in San Diego.

Dear Santa

As my husband was watching football yesterday, I decided I could finally make some time to scrapbook. I looked around for a few challenges and found these two fun ones:

This first one is from the Challenge Yourself Blog

You have to scrapbook about yourself which is always a good challenge for me. So I found  this vintage photo of me in 1981. I also learned through this process that I am in very few Christmas photos.  Guess I need to take a few more with me in them.

I also found this adorable sketch for a guest design team position for Lets Get Sketchy

And here is my take on it using the December The Scraproom Kit

Be sure and check out the GDT Call over at Let's Get Sketchy. It looks like lots of fun! Hope you have a very Happy New Year!!

The Scrap Room Flavor of the Month Kit

Hi!  Hope your week is going well!  I finally took the plunge and decided to subscribe to The Scrap Room Flavor of the month Kit.  I have been longingly looked at them since January and decided it was time to subscribe, even though I shouldn't be buying a single sheet of paper LOL.  I have sooo many papers!  But I {heart} patterned paper!  Plus on the facebook group and blog they offer challenges.  Next to patterned paper, challenges are my next favorite.

Here is this month's kit.  LOVE IT!!

Here is the sketch from the blog:

And here is my take on it using the Crate Paper Cute Girl Line:

Loved this cute floral paper!  I did add the small dotted paper from my stash as well as the flowers but otherwise it's from my kit.  I love that I can get 2-3 layouts done and not add to my stash(or least I'm hoping to conquer them each month :)

I've also created a few others from the kit using challenges on the Facebook Group.

This one I created first...I loved this Echo Park I Love Family Line!  I also added a few items from a Simple Stories fall line from a few years ago.  They matched perfectly!  This is a photo of me, my mom and 2 sisters on Thanksgiving.  I used a Throwback Sketch from the Facebook Group:

Here's the sketch

And here's one I created for the Freaky Fast Challenge using the Simple Stories Posh line.  This is me and my mom on Mother's day last year.  Love this FFF challenge each month!
Here's the challenge:

Be sure and check out the Kits at The Scrap Room.  I'm totally loving mine and am so happy I joined their club!  Thanks for stopping by!
